Calathea Musaica has beautifully decorated long bright yellow-green leaves with tiny deep green stripes all over the leave giving it a mosaic appearance. This is one of the hard to find varieties and becoming very popular indoor plant in recent days. Calatheas originate from the tropics, natives to the amazonian rain forest. They are commonly known for their fascinating night time habit. They fold their leaves together at night, like raised hands in prayer, then opening up again during the day to follow the sun's movement. For this charming display, Calathea plants are also known as Prayer plants.
