Ctenanthe Burle Marxii

The Burle Marxii are characterised by its elongated, rectangular shaped leaves with a beautiful herringbone pattern on the top side of the leaf and a beautiful purple-red shade on the underside.

They do well in bright indirect light, humidity and weekly watering. It comes in 170mm nursery pot.


BRIGHTNESS- The Ctenanthe burle-marxii enjoys bright light to partial shade. It should be kept out of direct sunlight; its leaves will curl up if it receives too much light.

WATERING- The plant needs moderate watering. Allow the top soil to dry before next watering. If the plant is too dry soil, leaves will curl and turn brown.Overwatering can cause root rot.

FEED - Feed the plant with half strength balanced liquid fertiliser for every two weeks. Avoid fertilising in late fall and winter.

REPOTTING- Repot when your roots are out grown, and preferably in the spring.
