Dark-green, elongated leaves with redish-purple undersides make this a perfect house plant year-round. The plant does good in bright-indirect light, weekly watering. It comes in 130 mm nursery pot.
BRIGHTNESS- Place the plant in a bright indirect light all year round for its leaves to retain its good foliage colour. Rheo spathacea can tolerate low light but will turn completely green losing the purple shade of the plant.
WATERING- The plant needs moderate watering. Allow the top soil to dry completely before next watering. Overwatering can cause root rot.
FEED - Feed every fortnight in spring and summer with a half strength balanced liquid fertiliser. Avoid fertilising in late fall and winter.
REPOTTING- Repot during spring when the foliage gets closely packed.
